For the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 model, the battery pack has been increased and upgraded to 77.4kWh from the 72.6kWh. The WLTP range has been increased to 507km. Do expect more goodies too like new battery heat pump and conditioning system to be a standard for all range now....
BYD, the most interesting EV brand after Tesla are making waves around the globe especially their home country China. The Han EV, designed by ex-Audi designers, will be sold in China first. Prices as follow: extended-range - 229,800 RMB (approximately $32,800) extended-range (Premium) - 255,800 RMB (about $36,500) 4WD high-performance - 279,500 RMB (about $40,000) Mr. Wang Chuanfu, President of BYD Co., Ltd., said, “The Han has taken ten years from the concept stage to formal mass production,” which he likened to “ten years of sharpening a brilliant sword”....
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 will be introduced as a sedan, as opposed to the current Ioniq 5, which as you know, received rage reviews and won Car of the year awards in numerous countries. Expect to be available in at least 77kWh with better efficiency in comparison to Hyundai Ioniq 5 due to the sleeker sedan design a.k.a better aerodynamic efficiency. Do expect the availability as early as Q1 2023....
